Hungary is the only country that still has not ratified Sweden’s entry into NATO, and despite Prime Minister Viktor Orbán saying that the government is behind Sweden joining the alliance, the negotiations have stalled.
Then Sweden hopes for NATO approval
According to the US Embassy, the senators are traveling to Hungary with the mission to focus on strategic issues regarding NATO and Hungary.
The Swedish government hopes that an approval will take place when the Hungarian parliament reconvenes in less than two weeks.
