Over the years, hundreds of people have reported strange symptoms, the cause of which has been suspected to be some kind of “energy weapon”.
The cause of the special symptoms called “Havana syndrome” is very likely not the activities of the US enemy, the country’s intelligence services estimate.
It is also very unlikely that the cause would be, for example, an unintended consequence of the enemy’s “electronic surveillance”.
The mystery that led to numerous wild theories, such as the use of an “energy weapon”, became public after employees of the US Embassy in Havana experienced unusual symptoms in 2016-2017.
Employees have reported, for example, about strange sounds and the accompanying symptoms, such as pain in the ears and head, tinnitus, dizziness and cognitive difficulties.
Later similar observations have been made at least in Australia, Austria, China, Colombia, Germany and Russia. In all, hundreds of people have reported symptoms.
In addition to Americans, Canadian diplomats have also reported similar symptoms.
According to a new assessment of about 1,000 cases by seven intelligence agencies, there is no credible evidence that an enemy of the United States has a weapon or device that could cause symptoms similar to “Havana Syndrome.”
In a scientific expert group published a year ago in the estimate (you switch to another service) came to a different conclusion. According to it, the symptoms could possibly have been caused by an electromagnetic pulse or ultrasound.
