The US and Israel are discussing Gaza after Hamas

One thing raised is the possibility of establishing a multinational force in which the United States would also have a part, another a peacekeeping force and a third a government in Gaza supervised by the UN, according to information to the news agency Bloomberg.

Neither the White House nor the US State Department would comment on the data. But Foreign Minister Antony Blinken was on the subject when he appeared before a Senate committee on Tuesday.

— We cannot return to the status quo and let Hamas rule Gaza, nor that Israel rule or control Gaza, said Blinken.

He added that there are other possibilities to consider.

Incidentally, Blinken is traveling to Israel for meetings with the Israeli government on Friday. He will also visit other countries in the region to discuss the situation.

According to a statement from the White House, President Joe Biden spoke with Jordan’s King Abdullah II about the importance of facilitating the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza and restoring basic community services there. They spoke about the importance of protecting civilians, respecting international humanitarian law as Israel fights terrorism and defends its citizens.

They also agreed, according to the statement, to ensure that Palestinians are not forced out of Gaza.
