The United States leaves the losses and damage fund created

The announcement is not surprising, but is nonetheless substantial. The United States has formalized its withdrawal from the losses and damage fund. Created following the COP28 on the climate of Dubai in 2023, it aims to compensate the developing countries following disasters caused by global warming and, as the first historic greenhouse gas transmitter, the United States had a responsibility in its constitution.
