US experts will examine the bullet that killed a Palestinian-American journalist in the West Bank. This is what the Palestinian Authority’s chief prosecutor, Akram al-Khatib, told AFP.
According to al-Khatib, the bullet will be examined at the US embassy in Jerusalem. The investigation could determine where the deadly shot came from, something that has been discussed since al-Jazeera reporter Shireen Abu Akleh was shot in Jenin on May 11.
Several observers have pointed out the Israeli patrol that was on site, while the Israeli army claims that Akleh may have been shot by armed Palestinians.
