The United States is concerned about the treatment of Russian

On Thursday, Alexei Navalny said that his right to see his lawyer in prison has been interfered with.

The US administration says it is very concerned about how the Russian administration treats the Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny. The spokesperson of the US State Department tells about it Ned Price.

Russian prison authorities have interfered with the preparation of Navalny’s defense and communication with his lawyer, says Price in his statement.

Price also says that Navalnyi has been repeatedly placed in solitary confinement in prison for even minor infractions.

– Navalny’s treatment is proof of politically motivated harassment, says Price.

On Thursday, Navalnyi said that prison authorities are interfering with his right to see a lawyer. Going forward, all of Navalny’s correspondence with his lawyers would undergo a three-day audit by prison officials.

In addition, Navalny is only allowed to speak with his lawyers through double security glass.

On the Twitter account managed by Navalny’s lawyers, Navalny says that the prison authorities did not agree to tell the reason for depriving him of his rights.

Navalnyi was transferred to a notorious prison in the summer

In June, Navalny was transferred to the maximum-security IK-6 prison, which his allies say is alone among Russia’s scariest prisons.

Navalny’s spokesman Kira Jarmush said in June that the prison in question is known for torturing and killing inmates.

Navalnyi, 46, is the most famous president Vladimir Putin opponents of the regime in Russia. He was imprisoned early last year when he returned to Russia from Germany after recovering from poisoning.

Navalny has accused Putin and the Russian security service FSB of the poisoning.

Last February, Navalnyi was sentenced to two and a half years in prison for parole violation. Last March, he was sentenced to nine years in prison for embezzlement and contempt of court.

Navalnyi says all charges against him are completely fabricated in an attempt to silence him and stifle his political aspirations.
