The agreement was reached during Biden’s first visit to Israel as president. The US leader says the US is not prepared to “wait forever” for Iran to revive the 2015 nuclear deal, which was repealed by former US President Donald Trump.
On Friday, Biden will travel to the occupied West Bank to meet with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. Biden reaffirmed Washington’s policy of pushing for a two-state solution, but made it clear that he has no plans to change Trump’s controversial decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s undivided capital.
On Friday, Biden continues his Middle East trip to Saudi Arabia, where he will meet Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
