TV4 Nyheter’s reporting that the pressured work environment at Arlanda jeopardizes safety has received strong reactions. Staff at the security checks warn that the long work shifts not only violate the guidelines but also give the inspectors “tunnel vision” and risk letting dangerous objects through. The union takes what the employees say very seriously.
– If you do not have the opportunity to recover and be able to take a break, then it will not be as good a job, says Filip Rydolw, section chairman of the Transport Workers’ Union Arlanda.
