The union calls for protests against “Time wages”

A new directive ahead of this year’s salary audit at the Government Office states that civil servants in the Government Office who work to implement the Tidöavtalet – the cooperation agreement between the government and the Sweden Democrats – can receive a higher salary.

Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M), who has been reported to KU by the opposition, has commented on the directive that it is “completely undramatic” and pointed out that the Government Office’s core task is to implement the government’s policy.

The trade union ST, which has around 1,500 members at the Government Office, is now calling on its members to declare their disagreement if managers refer to the Tidö Agreement in salary negotiations, writes the union’s newspaper Publikt.

Must declare disagreement

The employer must come out with a clarification to the managers about how they should handle the writing, but they are not prepared to remove it.

– Then we clarified that we have called on members who receive a salary with reference to this writing to declare their disagreement, says ST’s head of negotiations Åsa Erba Stenhammar to the newspaper.

If an employee declares disagreement, negotiations await between the union and the employer. The issue can also be raised to a central consultation with the Swedish Employment Agency.
