The death of Jean-Marie Le Pen arouses, as expected, a lot of reactions. That of Philippe Poutou is one of the most virulent.
The reactions to the death of Jean-Marie Le Pen, at the age of 96, are obviously very numerous, given the political weight of the man who co-founded the great French far-right party. One of the most vehement comes from the leader of the New Anticapitalist Party, who wrote a message on X in which he begins by rejoicing at the death of the man who was nicknamed “the menhir”. “It’s crazy, wishes work!”, he wrote, in a comment tinged with dark humor.
The former presidential candidate for the NPA added: “The year 2025 does not start too badly with this good news of the death of Le Pen, a racist, a colonialist, a fascist, a torturer, an assassin, a homophobic, etc… but that changes nothing in the united anti-fascist fight to be carried out urgently.”
