Armand Duplantis has had a fantastic 2024.
He has also been named the world’s best athlete.
Now comes a new revelation before the new year 2025.
The sports year 2024 was absolutely incredible for the Swedish world star Armand Duplantis. He won WC indoor gold, EC outdoor gold, Olympic gold, Diamond League, broke three world records and defeated the Norwegian running star Karsten Warholm of 100 meters.
Duplanti’s smash hit
After the season, “Mondo” was awarded the prestigious Bragdguldet and he was named the world’s best athlete by the English television channel BBC. It’s hard to top that incredible success.

Even on a personal level, Duplantis has had reason to celebrate after the engagement with his girlfriend Desire Inglander. Recently, it became clear that the 25-year-old will compete in Finnkampen 2025, when the competition celebrates its 100th anniversary.

100 meters

It will be the fourth time that Duplantis takes part in the Finnkampen, this classic athletics duel between Sweden and Finland. It remains to be seen whether the star Swede competes in one or four different branches.
– It depends a little on what his competition schedule looks like. But it could be such a busy, wonderful athletics weekend for him, where he runs some unexpected events in the form of 100 meters, relay and pole vault.
