What is Alien: Covenant about?

Why hasn’t a sequel to Alien: Covenant been made yet?

Up until Prometheus, the Alien movies tended to touch on major philosophical themes. Prometheus dealt with deep existential questions in the tech age and also with the origin of humans. The android David received more attention than the extraterrestrial beings.

Covenant continues this trend, but only partially. The film is basically split: On the one hand, it serves the classic alien show values ​​​​with hard horror on a foreign planet.
