On Tuesday, the UN General Assembly called on Israel to withdraw from the occupied Palestinian territories and demanded the establishment of a Palestinian state.
In a resolution passed by a vote of 157-8, the General Assembly expressed its unwavering support for the two-state solution, which is in line with international law.
Finland voted with the mainstream, while Israel, the United States and Hungary, among others, voted against the resolution.
The meeting convened an international conference for next June, the purpose of which is to promote a two-state model solution between Israel and Palestine.
