The UN Security Council calls for Rwanda to pull its troops from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The Council’s resolution condemns the attack and the rebel grouping of the M23 with the help of Rwanda.
In addition, the Security Council requires Rwanda in the resolution to decide to support the rebellion group.
The statement was unanimously approved on Friday.
Conflicts have been tearing up the eastern part of the Congo Democratic Republic for decades. The country’s relationship to the neighbor in Rwanda has been challenging for decades.
