In 1996, a group of teenage soccer players crashed their plane over the Canadian wilderness. The young women quickly found themselves in a relentless fight for survival that pushed them to their physical and moral limits. And not only that: they soon began to suspect that something sinister was lurking in the woods.
In 2021, four of the survivors are in their home state of New Jersey: Shauna Sadecki, now a housewife and mother; Taissa Turner, who has entered politics; Misty Quigley, who works as a nurse; and Natalie Scatorccio, who has just completed drug rehab. They all receive postcards with a mysterious symbol that seems to connect them to their past in the woods.
In an attempt to track down the author of the postcards, Shauna, Taissa, Misty and Natalie are forced to form a team. Without knowing it, they trigger a fatal chain of events that will fundamentally change all of their lives and which brings back the horror of that time.

As a viewer, you are drawn into the dark world of the four women: What really happened in the woods back then? And what of it only happened in the minds of the survivors? If the horrors were not real, Who or what is pursuing them in the present?
It’s not often that you get to laugh, cry, scream and throw up with the main characters on screen at the same time. The fact that Yellowjackets has this effect is thanks to the bitter, exciting ideas of Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson.
