The administration’s new investigation is complete and gives the green light to build the new cultural school at Palanderska gården on Trossö. The brick house where the municipal management is located today is to be demolished.
It was in June that the decision to build the cultural school on the Lindblad block was stopped by M, KD, SD and L. Instead of building the cultural school on Brinova’s land, it would be faster and cheaper to build on the municipality’s own land, the parties said. Instead, it was decided to investigate Palanderska gården as a new alternative.
Given the go-ahead
Now the administration has given the new proposal the go-ahead. The brick house already has a demolition permit.
– It will be a very nice neighborhood for the culture school. There are already some cultural buildings in the area that can be used for the business, says Sophia Ahlin.
Next Monday, the matter will go before the culture and leisure committee’s working committee.
