The European Football Championship is in full swing and before the match between Serbia and Slovenia, the TV4 profile was offered Dragomir Mršić into TV4’s studio.
Dragomir has, among other things, acted in several productions and hosted the popular program “The Traitors” on TV4. Dragomir was born in Prijedor, now Bosnia and Herzegovina, and in the studio he got to talk about the civil war in the former Yugoslavia.

“The scar has taken longer to heal”
The host Pär Lernström asked questions to Dragomir Mršić in the studio and one of these was about what Dragomir believes is behind the fact that things “went a little differently” for the nations that were formed, which also Sportbladet reported on.
– I think the difference is that we, or Serbia, were more affected by the war. We were bombed by NATO for 80 plus days. There was a lot of trauma. Then Serbia is a bit “my way or the highway”. The Croatians got a bit more funding, it’s a strong nation economically and had the world a bit more behind them. Historically, how it was in the world wars. I don’t want to go into it too much, but Croatia was allied with the Nazis. The Serbs have been singled out more as the culprits and this has left its mark. The scars have taken longer to heal, Dragomir answered the question.

Pär Lernström was forced to apologize on television
Later in the program, the presenter Pär Lernström felt compelled to apologize for Dragomir Mršić’s statement and explained that what he said stood for him.
– We will respond to what was said a little earlier in this broadcast. It was an opinion that was expressed there and Dragomir stands for that opinion himself. There are people and residents and people who spoke out who represent other parts of that conflict and we can respect that they have other opinions. We can understand that. Dragomir must stand for that opinion. We just want to be clear about this before we kick off the match, said Pär Lernström later in the program.
