Many dream of one day flying first class, but for a mere mortal it is difficult to count on being upgraded at the request of the staff. You often have to be prepared for a substantial price increase from an ordinary airplane seat if you want to travel a little nicer.

But there are a few tricks that can increase your chances of being upgraded and ensure an even more comfortable flight.

Many who fly commute weekly and travel for work. Subway fashion writes that it is strategic to book the trip when business travelers are free and the better seats are free to increase their chances.
City Magazine also writes that some routes are flown more than once a day. It advises to keep an eye on the airline’s website to see which flight is most popular, and simply avoid booking the one with the most traffic. Then it is better to choose the one with the most available seats instead.

Be on time
Sometimes it can pay to be the first party on the spot before your flight. If you’re really lucky and the airline is smart, they can give away free first-class tickets if they haven’t been booked.
