The trial against the Swedish programmer Ola Bini in Ecuador ended on Tuesday.
The court’s decision will be announced on Thursday, says Ola Bini’s Swedish press contact Anneli Toresson.
The Swede was acquitted more than a year ago of the data breach charges, but the verdict was appealed.
The restrictions against him remain and he is prohibited from leaving the country.
Ola Bini was arrested in April 2019 at the airport in the capital, Quito, accused of breaching the computer system of the state-owned Ecuadorian telecom company CNT.
