– Too often there is confusion with the departures. I’m considering ditching public transport completely because you can’t trust the train, says Albin Lindholm, who takes the train regularly.
The train attendants tried during Friday morning to keep the spirits up among the passengers when they announced that there would be buses from Härnösand further south.
– I understand their frustration, but most people still have a good mood and we do our best to ensure that people arrive on time, says train conductor Kicki Holmgren.
Want to see improvement from authorities
Several of the passengers on the train that SVT traveled with were going on to Stockholm. They still chose to take the train even though it was a bus from Härnösand.
– That’s the risk you have to take and it’s sad. I think you should invest better in the infrastructure, otherwise people will start flying instead. The authorities must take this more seriously if they are now to invest in the environment, says Lasse Eriksson from Umeå.
