In Paris, five months after the euphoria of the Olympic Games, the capital once again dressed in bright clothes for the transition to the new year. More than a million people gathered on the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, closed to vehicles and lined with dozens of sparkling trees, for an event in light and music, organized since 2014 by Paris City Hall .
