The town of Zaouïa, located some 45 kilometers west of Tripoli, was once again the scene of clashes between opposing militias this Thursday, June 20. The fighting took place in a residential area and left several injured, according to local media. In the series of targeted liquidations that the city is experiencing, the brother of a leader of one of the factions deployed in Zaouïa was seriously injured, which sparked hostilities.

Exasperated, the residents once again demonstrated their anger this Wednesday in front of the police headquarters, but their voice does not seem to be audible. Security failure is widespread in a Libya in the grip of chaos.
