“The toughest character in a long time”

Hunt: Showdown impresses in the latest trailer with a tough character and wonderful animations. Fans now want even more.

What awaits you in the DLC: As a monster hunter at the end of the 19th century, you are on the hunt for boss monsters in this PvPvE horror shooter on Steam. You fight your way through a lot of NPC opponents and up to 10 other players also make life difficult for you. Because they pursue the same goal – just not together with you.

We have included the trailer for the new DLC here for you:

The new DLC Law of Salvage gives you a legendary hunter in two variants, two legendary weapons and a new consumable item:

  • Captain Laffite (Legendary Hunter)
  • Scuttled Glory (Legendary Winfield 1887 Terminus)
  • Knuckle Shunt (Legendary Scottfield Model 3 Brawler)
  • Hagfish Bronze (Legendary Choke Bomb)
  • Why the trailer is so exciting: Three weeks ago, Hunt: Showdown excited people with a trailer for another DLC. It has already been praised for its animations, as well as its character and weapon designs.

The players don’t seem to like the current new trailer any less, as you can find out in the comments via YouTube.

Among other things, the design of the new character is praised there: Captain Laffite is a dark captain with a full beard, a decent build and his body and clothing are covered in barnacles.

This gives the impression that he is an experienced and tough guy who has experienced a lot. User Triads297 also describes him in his comment as the toughest character in a long time.

Many commentaries compare Laffite to other well-known figures. Many people cite “Uncle Sam” as an example in their comments. Actor William Dafoe and Jim Carry’s character Count Olaf are also named as examples.

The latest trailers are so convincing that fans want to see more

But it’s not just the character design that is praised in the comments. In this trailer, many fans again comment on the very good animations. These seem to really excite them, because similar to marakushieda4039, many are calling for a live-action or animated series in their comments.

At least this shows that they not only want to see more of the lore, but also really like the way the team behind Hunt designs their cinematic trailers. The fact that you would watch an entire series or film of it is probably high praise.

In addition to a lot of praise and enthusiasm, there are also negative voices calling for an improvement to the game and no new DLC. However, there is already news for 2024: Successful shooter on Steam doesn’t want to be called Hunt 2 despite the engine upgrade – because of Destiny 2 and Overwatch 2
