T1 became world champions for the fifth time in League of Legends 2024. The current roster is considered one of the best the Korean team has ever had. For 2025, it was still unclear who would remain on the team. But as it has now been announced, you don’t have to say goodbye to the jungler.
What does it look like for the jungler? Despite a weak start, T1 was able to secure the spectacular 5th world championship title in 2024. For many, it also depends on the entire team. The players around Faker just work really well together. But all contracts, except for Faker’s, actually ended in 2024.
Fans of the current roster can breathe a sigh of relief, at least for 3 of the players. As previously announced, supporter Keria will remain on the team. They also kept another player, as they announced now, on November 15th, 2024. The jungler Oner remains on the team.
The German player Agurin is considered one of the best junglers in SoloQ:
One stays, but another member has to leave
What is the current status of T1? As has now been announced on x.com, Oner will also remain with the team for a new contract. Keria and Oner have also signed a 2-year contract, according to the official site.
This means that 3 of the 5 players from T1 are safe for next season: the legend Faker, the jungler Oner and the support Keria. In a video on x.com, Oner emphasizes again that he also wants to win the LCK in the next 2 years. A goal that didn’t work in 2024.
But two players are still missing. It is not yet known whether the ADC Gumayusi and the toplaner Zeus will also return. On reddit, people are confident with Gumayusi, as they wouldn’t actually separate a good botlane team.
Many fans are also sure about Zeus. As user @mazeuster shares on x.com, Zeus has changed his in-game image, title and banner to the Hall of Legends design. This is a special series for skins, icons and other cosmetic items that is currently only dedicated to Faker.
For some users, this is an indication that Zeus will also play for T1 in 2025.
Why do fans want this return? The current T1 team is considered by many esports fans to be the best roster of the Korean team. All 5 players are considered masters of their roles, and the dynamic between Faker and his 4 colleagues is loved by many fans. The great team play of the 5 South Koreans could be seen especially at the Worlds this year.
