Johannes Kinnvall broke the ice with his 1-0 goal in the first period and in the second Brynäs added both once and twice.
First, through successful French-Canadian fullback Charles-Édouard D’Astous, who intercepted the puck just outside the left penalty circle before pulling up a snappy shot at the first cross.
Dominated in the second period
And then through returner Jakob Silfverberg, who shot after a draw win and found the net behind an obscured Lassi Lehtonen in the Modo cage.
– It doesn’t look good in the second period. We face the best team in the league and must do better, says Modo’s David Bernhardt in the second period break.
Won again – still number one
Silfverberg extended it to 4-0 directly in the third, but then Modo came back with two straight goals.
But it wasn’t enough all the way for the Ö-fold team, who ultimately lost 2–5.
Modo is still last, while Brynäs continues to top the series.
