The Tokilska of the Färjestad star – raged after the question that SVT could not even show: “It’s disrespectful”

Rögle crushed Färjestad in the first quarter-final.
Then the team captain Linus Johansson saw red – after a question in SVT.
– It was not respectful, he says afterwards.

Färjestad are favorites in the quarter-finals against Rögle, but in the first match they got a real wake-up call. Rögle, who was forced to reach the playoffs via the round of 16, scored a completely senseless second period that completely shocked the home crowd.

Very excited for the question

Färjestad was in a 1-0 lead after the first period, but when 40 minutes had been played, Rögle had not only turned the game around – but acquired a 5-1 lead(!). It became impossible for Färjestad to turn around, despite a reduction with ten minutes left to play. Rögle won by a whopping 6-2, and afterwards there were upset faces in the Färjestad camp.

In the third period, Rögle’s Dennis Everberg handed out a tackle on Joel Nyström that resulted in a match penalty, which caused the emotions to overflow. Afterwards, Linus Johansson, the team captain in Färjestad, was really upset. And it would get even worse – after a question in SVT that made him see red. It was for the program Hockey Night, and in an interview with the presenter Dusan Umicevic, that he reacted strongly.

“Disrespectful”

The question was later not shown in the program, but was cut out completely, but according to Aftonbladet, it was about Rögle’s Linus Sandin’s scoring form. Johansson is said to have responded quickly, throwing off the headset and shouting “sweep”, before hitting the club hard on the door to the dressing room. Afterwards, he explained why he was furious.

– I thought it was not respectful why I should answer a question about their player who scored two plus one or wherever it was. I’m appearing for an interview and then I’ll probably answer questions about my team, says Johansson to Aftonbladet.

Dusan Umicevic believes that it was a misunderstanding, and that technical details may also have contributed to the anger.

– I understand that he was grumpy and maybe he misunderstood us. There were perhaps problems with delay as well, says the presenter.
