While second place is occupied by the Thriller Bastion 36 and Genre-Kracher Demon City can still defend the front rows, 1st place is another brand new and bone-hard action thriller: the counterattack.

The counterattack is likely to have a few Netflix-button, especially in international areas: confused inside-because the original title of the film is Counterstrike. While the association for the popular video game series, of course, immediately comes up, despite its genre similarities, the counterattack actually has nothing to do with the tactical shooter. We can only guess whether the confusion may have led to one or the other click more.

The Mexican Netflix hit revolves around a group of elite soldiers led by Captain Guerrero (Luis Alberti) and create a cartel with a sicario insert to free two hostages. The cartel then naturally thinks on revenge and goes to the counterattack. Locked in an ambush, Guerrero and his people face a bloody battle.

The film was staged by Chava Cartas, who already provided explosive moments with the EL Mariachi TV series. The series re -adapted the film series of the same name by producer Robert Rodriguez. In addition to Luis Alberti, Mayra Bartalla, Leonardo Alonso and Noé Hernandez can be seen in the counterattack.
