Zlatan and Henrik Larsson accounted for several beautiful goals during their national team careers. But some are prettier than others. And when the duo does it together, it’s pure magic.
There is no doubt whatsoever that Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrik Larsson are two of Sweden’s greatest footballers of all time. The duo has played at the very highest level and won many titles.
Fabulous goal
They have both also played over 100 international matches for Sweden, and have formed attacking pairs many times. Together they have played championships such as WC 02 & 06 as well as EC 04 & 08 and have been one of the tournaments most toxic duo.
When Zlatan and Henke were on the pitch together, anything could really happen. And it certainly showed them in a qualifying match against Iceland in 2005 at Råsunda.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic finds a free space in central midfield. The Swede receives the ball and sees that colleague Henrik Larsson has already started his run behind Iceland’s back line.
Henke’s perfect finish
With a simple and nice touch, “Ibra” chips the ball over the Icelandic defense and serves Henrik Larsson a perfect ball. Henke pulls directly on the volley and pokes the goalkeeper’s left cross.
Henrik Larsson then celebrates the elegant goal by cockily standing in front of the northern stand and holding his hand over Sweden’s emblem on his chest.
Truly a goal that is pure class from two of our greatest ever!
