All of Sweden is keeping its fingers crossed that William Nylander joins.
Now the WC player and close friend Rasmus Sandin is doing his best.
By luring Nylander to the hockey World Cup with a clever joke.
Tre Kronor has had a dream start to this year’s hockey WC with three straight victories and only one goal conceded. Victory against Germany, victory against Austria and on Monday night another victory after a penalty shootout against the host country and worst rival Finland.
Sweden’s success
Now Tre Kronor is hoping for much-needed reinforcements to become even better and seriously go for the WC gold. The big hope lies with the Swedish NHL star William Nylander who was recently eliminated from the Stanley Cup playoffs with his Toronto Maple Leafs.

So far it has been quiet and there has been no news about Nylander but the WC player and close friend Rasmus Sandin now offers information from the inside.
– I have spoken to him a little, but he has been difficult to get hold of in recent days. I don’t know if he hates me, or if he hates everyone. I understand that it’s hard after they just left, Sandin jokingly tells SportExpressen.

Nylander to the WC
Nylander and Sandin played together for four seasons and have a good relationship with each other. “Lill-Nyllet” has also expressed interest in playing in the hockey World Cup but has not yet spoken to the NHL team about it.
– He seems eager to come here. We hope so, says the Tre Kronor player in the interview.

Rasmus Sandin admits that he has already started the persuasion campaign and also has an ace up his sleeve to get Nylander to Tampere. Here there is a clear debt to collect.
– He owes me after everything I did for him in Toronto with cooking and everything. Now it’s time for him to come here, says Sandin with a laugh to the evening newspaper.
