YELLEN: I AGREE WITH BIDEN
In her speech at the Financial Services Committee of the House of Representatives on April 6, Yellen, the US Treasury Secretary, announced that the USA would not attend the G20 meetings attended by Russia, and stated that she had clearly stated this decision to her G20 counterparts. “President Biden has made it clear that things can’t be business as usual for Russia at any financial institution, and I totally agree with him. He wanted Russia out of the G20, and I made it clear to my colleagues in Indonesia that we wouldn’t be attending a series of meetings if the Russians were there,” Yellen said.
