ANNOUNCED THAT IT WILL ORGANIZE MILITARY DRILLS
China’s Ministry of Defense announced that after Pelosi’s visit, it would hold “a series of military exercises” around the island.
It was reported that joint exercises with the participation of sea and air elements in the north, southwest and southeast of the island, conventional missile tests in the east and long-range artillery drills in the Taiwan Strait will be held.
The exercises, which are expected to last until August 7, have created a de facto blockade around the island, where China is in a conflict of sovereignty.
