Effective Communication has a large list of clients, such as Telia, Tele2, Fortum, Eon and the Swedish Postal Code Lottery.
– We have chosen to pause the collaboration with them. We are now going through which script to follow and how to treat customers if, for example, you get a no, says Swedish Postcode Lottery’s press manager Roger Magnergård.

Mats Knutson on the lottery scandal: “The criticism will remain”
He says that he does not recognize that Effective Communication has used aggressive methods, but believes that the information about it is very worrying. Hence the break.
– It is one of several companies that we use. However, we only use Effective Communications’ Stockholm office, not the one in Barcelona. For us, it is extremely important to work with companies and staff that are close to our customers, where we can follow up on any shortcomings, he says.
“Cooperation for ten years – satisfied”
Neither Eon, Fortum, Telia nor Tele2 are pausing or terminating the collaboration with Effective Communication.
– We have had a collaboration with Effective Communication for almost ten years, which we are satisfied with. We have a dialogue with them and I know they are doing an investigation. So we will take part in it, but right now we are continuing our collaboration, says Fredrik Hallstan, head of communications at Tele2.
– This is of course scary information, but our experiences have only been positive. There are slightly different images of what happened and for us it feels premature to pause the collaboration, says Fortum’s press manager Elin Tibell.
Initiated an investigation
Telia also has a good experience of Effective communication.
– We naturally take the information that has appeared in the media very seriously. We are in contact with Effective communication, who have started an investigation to find out what happened. The result of it and how they act on the information that emerges, determines how we choose to act going forward, says Irene Irène Krohn, press officer at Telia.
Eon does not want to comment DN’s review and says that at the moment it is not appropriate to cancel the collaboration with the company.
– We have control over our sales, we deliver contact lists, listen to recorded calls if necessary and we have a person in charge who ensures quality, says Björn Persson on Eon’s press call.
