Popovici won at 47.58, six hundredths ahead of Frenchman Maxime Grousset.

Summer McIntosh won the 200 meter butterfly and set his own junior world record with just over half a second to 2.05.20.
The Canadian is the youngest World Cup gold winner in eleven years.
– It is one of my biggest dreams to become world champion and especially to do it in the 200 meter butterfly. It is one of my favorite distances, the 15-year-old tells AP.
McIntosh then finished the evening by taking bronze for Canada in the 4×200 meter freestyle. In addition, with his second junior world record for the evening – 1.54.79 on the starting distance.
