We’ve waited a long time. Now there are finally the first moving pictures from the 3rd season of The Witcher. The mood is depressed and Henry Cavill moves through the eerie fantasy backdrop. “For the first time I understand what true fear means”reveals the hero of the story, who must face his greatest adversary.

Season 3 of The Witcher will be particularly exciting as it will essentially be the finale of the series as it is now. It has been clear for some time that Cavill for the last time as Geralt of Rivia steps in front of the camera. After this adventure, Liam Hemsworth takes on the role of the legendary witcher who fights monsters.

The Witcher season 3 teaser trailer also confirms the start date of the final round of Cavill. This will be in two halves published:

  • volume 1 starts on June 29, 2023 and contains episodes 1 to 5
  • volume 2 starts on July 27, 2023 and contains episodes 6 to 8

    • It is the first time in The Witcher history that a season will be split. Cavill’s farewell is apparently celebrated by Netflix as a big fantasy event.

    Too much information is about the Storyline of Season 3 not yet known. In the official press release, however, Netflix reveals a few details that give us a rough overview of what to expect in the new episodes of The Witcher.

    As monarchs, mages and beasts of the continent vie for her, Geralt of Rivia hides Ciri of Cintra, determined to protect his reunited family from those who threaten to destroy them. Yennefer, who has been entrusted with Ciri’s magical training, leads the two to the sheltered fortress of Aretuza, where she hopes to learn more about the girl’s undiscovered powers. But they end up in a battlefield of corruption, dark magic and betrayal. They have to risk everything or they risk losing each other forever. Now we can be curious to see what the creative minds around showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich have in mind Cavill’s farewell performance thought up as Geralt of Rivia. Before the start of Season 3 there will certainly be a longer, more detailed trailer that will give us a more detailed look at the plot of the new episodes.
