VRL Summary: All regional finals
When giants collide, the ground shakes under their feet, which is exactly what happened in Turkey. Leading the group stage, Fire Flux Esports clashed with their arch-rival Surreal Esports and lost to Surreal at the end of the series. Although Fire Flux started the series strong, Surreal beat its opponent on other maps to a 3 – 1 victory. Another of our representatives will meet with SuperMassive Blaze in the Promotion Tournament. In short, our country definitely has a chance to grab an extra slot in VALORANT Challengers Stage 2.
DACH: Evolution
Our journey in DACH: Evolution started with FOKUS’ victory by defeating the group leader MOUZ and the Angry Titans. Facing Wave Esports in Fracture and Ascent, the team left the match with an impressive 2-0 victory and intimidated the teams they would face in the future. FOKUS, which uses Neon, Omen and Brimstone very well, has a lot of agents that can be used effectively.
East: Surge
One of the most feared teams of the group stage, NOM Esports was surprisingly out of the playoffs before the real battle even started. AWARIA managed to defeat Anonymo Mentos after a highly competitive streak spanning five maps. However, AWARIA’s gas started to run out in Breeze and Icebox, and the series was the scene of Anonymo Mentos’s 13 – 3 clear win.
France: Revolution
After the playoff tournament that came to mind with the sadness experienced, the team that closed the slot in the VCT Challengers Promotion Tournament became Sector One, which eliminated some of the most important names in esports. Facing Team BDS, the famous team fought until the last moment. In Breeze, the series that went to overtime ended 18-16. Despite trailing 2-0, Sector One made a stunning comeback that left their fans excited thanks to Tony ‘Goaster’ Richard’s scores with Jett and Raze. Sector One continued on to the next stage of the tournament.
Northern Europe: Polaris
EXCEL may not have won the VCT Challengers Stage 1, but it is clear that this made the famous British team even more ambitious. The team, sent to the lower ranks by TENSTAR, had a fateful match against EXCEL, TENSTAR, after fighting the group’s leader Alliance and its rival TUNDRA. Although neon didn’t bring the team any luck in Bind, EXCEL swept through the remaining three maps and qualified for the next stage.
Spain: Rising
Prior to the final match between Case Esports and Rebels Gaming, which were not shown among the favorites, Rebels Gaming had the success of eliminating KOI and Team Queso. During BO5, where the conflict did not cease until the last game, both teams returned fire to fire, even Mexican duelist Reyna, who was not preferred much in the meta, showed herself. The party-savvy Mexican smashed everything in his way, defeated his foes, and helped the Rebels qualify for the VCT Challengers Promotion Tournament.
VALORANT Challengers Promotion Tournament: What awaits us
The stage is ready and we are about to lift the curtains of this brand new tournament; But before that, there are a few things to know. As we mentioned earlier, BIG and SuperMassive Blaze will be standing alongside teams in this tournament as they are dropped from the main Challengers tournament. The teams will be divided into two separate groups (A and B), and the top two teams will take their place in Challengers 2. So at this stage, there will be no grand finale, only the winners of the lower and upper groups.
