The teammates’ wonderful coup against Amanda Ilestedt in the dressing room says everything about this fantastic team

Sweden is through to the World Cup semi-finals.
After the final whistle, the blue and yellow players celebrated big.
Now a video has been released from inside the dressing room that says it all about this amazing team.

It was an absolutely brilliant blue-yellow start on Friday when the Swedish people followed the heroes in the football World Cup. Sweden got off to a dream start against Japan in the World Cup quarter-finals and led 2-0 after just over 50 minutes played.

Sweden’s victory

The lead was secure and fair until the final minutes when Japan suddenly conceded a reduction goal and brought the game to life. The finish then became extremely dramatic when Japan went for an equalizing goal and were given 10 minutes of stoppage time to chase.

But Sweden managed to hold off all the way and go to the World Cup semi-finals in their fourth straight championship on the women’s side. One of the great heroes was again Amanda Ilestedt who scored again and started the scoring for Blågult.

Tributes to Ilestedt

The centre-back has now scored a total of four goals in this WC and is in a most unexpected second place in the shooting league with two games left to play. A huge victory celebration broke out on the pitch and then continued all the way into the Swedish dressing room, see the video below.
