When the Dutchman is asked to tell us something that we Swedes don’t know about Zlatan Ibrahimovic, he remembers how his teammate tricked the police in Amsterdam with three clever words.
– We were good friends at the time. I remember that Zlatan had just bought a new Mercedes SL. We were out driving in Amsterdam, we went a little too fast and the police stopped us, says van der Meyde in an interview with Svenska Fans.
– Then only Zlatan told the police: “It wasn’t me who was driving too fast, it was only the engine that you heard”. The police couldn’t say anything either because they hadn’t measured his speed. So Zlatan got away with saying it was because of the engine. The police let us go. I will never forget that, he says with a smile.

Surely this says a lot about Zlatan? Share the article and tell us what you think!
