In an interview, a producer for Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga said that an action sequence took a full 78 days to shoot – even though it is only 15 minutes long in the film.
With Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, director George Miller sheds more light on the backstory of the iconic character from the previous Mad Max films.
Played by Anya Taylor-Joy, Furiosa attempts to return home and escape the horde of Warlord Dementurs (played by Chris Hemsworth) as a power struggle rages.
A lot of effort was put into one scene, as one of the film’s producers, Doug Mitchell, told Total Film in an interview.

“It’s the longest sequence we’ve ever shot”
According to Doug Mitchell, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga has a 15-minute cinematic that took the team 78 days of filming. On top of that, around 200 stunt people were there every day to implement the scene.
During production, the film segment was christened “The Staircase to Nowhere” and represents an important moment for the character Furiosa, in which her entire character and all its facets as well as her abilities are presented.
Furiosa actress Anya Taylor-Joy also commented on the important film moment and said:
George and I often talked about why this particular set piece was so long. This is because you see an accumulation of skills over the course of a fight, and this is very important to understand how resourceful Furiosa is, but also to show her courage.

As she continued, there was a special reward at the end after the scene was finally completed: “It’s the longest sequence we’ve ever shot. The day we finished, everyone got a “Stairway To Nowhere” wine!”
What exactly happened in the scene was not yet revealed in the interview.
