The taxi murder in Enköping: Young people are released despite continued suspicion

Three young people suspected of the murder of a taxi driver in Enköping earlier this year have been released, UNT writes. But the murder suspicions remain. – I want to exceed the three-month deadline as I believe there are special reasons, says Moa Blomqvist, prosecutor, to the newspaper. Arrest proceedings are underway today for the five young people who are, on probable grounds, suspected of the murder of a taxi driver in Enköping in April. The young people are between 15 and 18 years old. Since two years ago, people under 18 may not be detained for longer than three months, unless there are probable reasons. So far, three out of five detention hearings have been completed and the district court has released all of them. But the strong suspicions still remain. The last two detention hearings start at 1pm and 2pm respectively on Wednesday. It was in April this year that a 26-year-old taxi driver was reported missing. A week later, he was found dead in a nature reserve, hanging from a bird tower, according to information from TV4 Nyheterna. The young people have been in custody since April and May respectively, suspected of the murder on probable grounds.
