The taxi drivers in Luleå were saddened that more and more Luleå residents chose to take black taxis. They set out together to prosecute the drivers and now the work has paid off.
15 black taxi drivers have been prosecuted, but the work is not finished yet, says CEO Mikael Hjorth at Sverigetaxi in Luleå.
– We will take them all. We estimate that there are approximately 50 who drive in Luleå, of which 20 drive a lot, he says.
Millions of kroner
Just on the 15 that have now been prosecuted, Mikael Hjorth estimates that it is about millions of kroner in lost revenue for the taxi drivers at Sverigetaxi in Luleå.
– It is their own salary that is at stake. But these guys have shown that they have a lot of skin on their noses to dare.
