News24 has previously reported that Systembolaget had distribution problems.

Trouble for Systembolaget – risk of empty shelves

Can run out anywhere

– All beverage categories – at all stores in the country – are at risk of being affected by the problems. However, there is no risk that all goods will run out, according to Teodor Almqvist who is press spokesperson at Systembolaget, when he was interviewed by The evening paper.

North Korean hackers are behind it

But now Skanlog can tell you that hackers were behind the cyber attack. This is what Skanlog’s Swedish CEO writes Mona Zuko to Dagens Industri:

“We have identified that we have been the target of a cyber attack by a hacker group in North Korea that uses the LockBit 3.0 ransomware tool to encrypt files and systems. The attack began on the night of April 21, when our systems and files were compromised,” she writes the newspaper.

Three computer systems – all hacked

The company’s other operations are also affected, which, among other things, deal with the transport of white goods.

The systems attacked are central business systems, a financial system and an inventory system. All three are described as crucial for the logistics company’s operations.
