The pancreas is an organ that has very important functions in the body, located at the back of the abdomen and adjacent to the stomach, duodenum and large intestine, which is about 15 cm long. The pancreas ensures the digestion of the consumed foods and keeping the glucose obtained from these foods at the required levels in the blood. Apart from this, the smallest damage to the pancreas, which has many vital functions, can lead to consequences that affect the whole body.

Due to the recent record heat, the American Cancer Society warned that people may have overlooked these warning signs for pancreatic cancer.

Staying in the sun too long, not drinking enough water, and getting heat stroke can induce the same symptoms as a type of disease called a pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor.

It can trigger cancerous cells that develop in the neuroendocrine cells of the pancreas that produce important hormones such as insulin and release them into the bloodstream. When the tumor develops, these cells can develop insulinomas that pump out the insulin, causing hypoglycemia or low blood sugar.

SYMPTOMS OF PANCREAS CANCER

The most common pancreatic cancer symptoms are; symptoms such as weight loss, abdominal pain, jaundice, loss of appetite, nausea-vomiting, weakness, fatigue, diarrhea, indigestion, back pain, glass paste-colored stools, pallor, sudden onset diabetes and depression without a family history.
