Denmark received a penalty with half a minute left and could punctuate the Olympic quarter. But then the big star struck Michael Hansen in the crossbar and that led to a last blue-yellow great chance.

Wanted punishment

Sweden would also get a final finish with just seconds left to play. Oscar Bergendahl went for the finish but was heavily stopped by the Danish defense and the goalkeeper was able to save a tame shot.

Sweden screamed for a penalty but the refereeing team refused to give in. A blue-yellow equalizer was not forthcoming and Denmark was able to win the match 32-31 to advance to the Olympic semi-finals.

Swedish anger

But after the final signals, the replays clearly show that Sweden should have received a penalty in the final seconds.
– I’m just tired of the shit, I can’t take it anymore, says one dejected Oscar Bergendahl according to Sportbladet.
– It’s usually a penalty nine times out of ten. It is clear that it is too damned that it should decide in a championship. Two championships in a row against the same opposition at the last second. Of course it’s to hell, you’re just losing the shit right now.

The Swedish giant rage also continues with the legends and the experts Magnus Wislander and Kim Andersson.
– I think it should have been a penalty. Ugh, a difficult verdict. You can propose and you can trap. A bit harsh against Sweden, but at the same time you can also request that you score a goal in that situation, says Radiosport’s Wislander in the radio broadcast.
– I think it is a clear punishment, says Max expert Andersson in the TV broadcast.
