Newcastle beat Arsenal 1–0 with Alexander Isak’s goal.
Arsenal, who are playing at the top of the English Premier League, experienced their second loss of the league season and the second in the last three games, when Newcastle defeated their Londoner 1-0 in the opening match of the Premier League on Saturday. The winning goal came from the Swedish striker Alexander Isakin header and it saw the light of day in the 12th minute of the match.
Newcastle, who were winless in their previous five games, kept Arsenal in check after Isak’s hit until the end, and rose to 15 points in the series.
Having taken only one point from their last three games, Arsenal has 18 points from ten matches, while Manchester City and Liverpool, who are ahead of them in the league, have 23 and 22 points. City will face Bournemouth away today and Liverpool will face Brighton at home.
