It’s not just Erik Karlsson and Rasmus Dahlin who dominate in the NHL.
Last night, Hampus Lindholm also stepped forward when it was most needed.
The Swede accounted for four points – including a decisive goal – for his Boston Bruins.
Thus, all three are at the top of the slope scoring Swedes.
It really is a blue-yellow party in the NHL right now, at least if you look at the backs. Erik Karlsson scored a hat trick and an assist in last night’s meeting with the Anaheim Ducks, and thus moves up to the lead in defensemen’s scoring in the NHL. Second on the list is Rasmus Dahlin, who started the season as convincingly as possible.
Unexpected success
And after a solid performance from Hampus Lindholm last night, the third player on the top three list is now also blue-yellow. His Boston Bruins looked like they were headed for a loss for a long time in the meeting against the Pittsburgh Penguins last night. After half the game, Pittsburgh led 5-2, and then Lindholm also scored zero points in the game. But then both he and the team woke up.
After goals by Brad Marchand, Pavel Zacha and Taylor Hall, the Bruins went up to 5-5, and what did all three goals have in common? Hampus Lindholm had a passing score for all of them. The match went to extra time, and then he stepped forward again to say the least – when it mattered the most.

Hampus Lindholm took the puck in his own zone and set off on an unusual solo rush, and the shot found its way into the goal, and perhaps the most powerful turnaround of the season was a fact. Hampus Lindholm became the first defenseman in the NHL this season to be noted for four points in one and the same game, but that “record” only stood for about an hour, before Erik Karlsson did the same.
Hampus Lindholm has now been noted for eleven points in his ten games played, and is thus in third place in the defenders’ scoring. Something notable was that in the night’s game Lindholm also had an ice time of 29:38(!), that after an injury on Boston’s back side, which forced him to step forward even more.
