Both the Swedish and Norwegian national team skaters have secret lists of opponents that they must watch out for during the competitions.

During some races in the World Cup, things have gone a little wild again this year. The riders bump into each other, push each other or are up with a pole and waving. It’s something that belongs to the sport in some way. But now NRK has leaked that both the Norwegian and Swedish national teams keep secret lists of opponents that their own skaters must suit up for.

NRK informs the Swedish riders that the Norwegians have a secret list of names of rivals they consider to have poor (and dangerous) technique and ride in a careless manner. People you simply have to watch out for so you don’t get hurt yourself.

She reveals that the Swedes also have lists. But she does not want to say anything about how many names are written down or which rivals are on the list.

Edwin Anger confirms to the Norwegian reporter that the Swedes record the opponents’ behavioral patterns and write them down. He also guesses that he himself is on the Norway list.

Anger knows that he and William Poromaa are unpopular with the other riders and that they can be perceived as a bit buffoonish and whiny, especially Poromaa.
