The Swedish national team’s unexpected love coup for worst rival Norway – on Valentine’s Day: “So nicely done”

They have been worst enemies for many years.
But now Sweden surprises big rival Norway with an unexpected love coup on Valentine’s Day.
“We love you,” Norway replies to the nice heart gesture.

The Biathlon World Cup is in full swing and so far it has been a big medal party for Norway on the men’s side above all. For Sweden, there has been one World Cup silver and two World Cup bronzes so far and now one more week remains of the championship in Oberhof.

Rival Norway

There will be new battles on the ski slopes and on the shooting range between arch-rivals Sweden and Norway. The nations that have been two sworn enemies for many hundreds of years, and especially when it comes to skiing, the rivalry between the neighboring countries is enormous.

But on Valentine’s Day, Sweden puts all bitterness aside and instead chooses to spread love to a long-standing enemy in the West. During the biathlon World Cup, the Swedish national biathlon team today chooses to extend a hand to Norway and offer a beautiful love coup.

The Swedish coup

In an attention-grabbing post on Instagram, the national team has published a video where they give a nice heart gift to the Norwegian national team, see the video below.
“On Valentine’s Day, we spread a little love and bury the hatchet for a while,” writes the Swedish national team on Instagram.
“Happy Valentines day. We love you!”, Norway then replies in a separate post.

The video has been showered with hearts and nice calls on social media during the day.
“It was nicely done,” writes one user.
“So nicely done by you,” writes another.
“Beloved national team,” writes a third.
