She recently turned 30, but at the same time came the sad news.
National team skier Lovisa Modig chooses to end her skiing career.
“Now I’m done with full commitment to traditional skiing,” she writes herself on Instagram.

It was 2017 that Lovisa Modig made his debut at the World Cup in a senior context. After that, she occasionally got the chance in the Swedish national team over the years.

Leaving the skis

The last time she got the chance at the World Cup was at home in Falun recently. But unfortunately it won’t be more than that for the Swede, who has announced the sudden announcement that she is ending her entire skiing career.

She has decided to continue running after her skiing career, but otherwise a completely new everyday life awaits the Swedish national team skier next to the ski tracks. Modig also gets a lot of support from his teammates on social media, see more below.
“But!! Then we get to pop double champagne in Kalix! Thank you for everything I have been able to experience with you and congratulations on everything you have achieved! You have to look for a nicer person,” writes Anna Dyvik in a comment.
“Lojsan!! Oh how I will miss you out on the race tracks. Now who’s going to remind me to enjoy the sun in the middle of the races or to take an extra lap around the track on the run down just to wave to the crowd! You are a great role model and I never get bored with you,” he also writes Johanna Hagström.
“But no, Lovisa! You can get ten dogs from me if you keep going! You are needed!! Everywhere and all the time!”, writes Moa Lundgren on Instagram.
