48,400 Ukrainians had applied for asylum in Sweden until 1 November.
An assessment this summer indicated that around 55,000 Ukrainians would arrive in 2022. But if the current trend holds, there will instead be around 52,000.
By the end of August, roughly 11,000 Ukrainians had been assigned to a Swedish municipality. On November 1, the figure had risen to 13,700 and now it is estimated to be 16,400 during the year.
94 of the country’s 290 municipalities have an occupancy rate of more than 80 percent.
Municipalities in certain counties – such as Västernorrland, Stockholm, Södermanland, Örebro and Kronoberg – have received a relatively large number of Ukrainian refugees. The counties that received the least number of refugees include Västra Götaland, Västerbotten and Jönköping.
