The Swedish criticism of Linn Svahn after the action on live television

Linn Svahn is known for always saying what she thinks.
But during the Tour de Ski, she went too far on live television.
Now criticism is being directed at Svahn’s actions towards an SVT reporter.

It has been a tough start to the season for Lynn Svahn who have had to fight hard to achieve results. Even the Tour de Ski was depressing for the Swede, who only managed a podium place during the mini-tour.

Svahn’s anger on television

She also got really annoyed in connection with the start of last week’s hunt when an SVT reporter caught her at the microphone. He then wondered if it “was obvious for her to drive on even though it has been so difficult” during the Tour de Ski.
– These are absolutely deplorable questions, because everyone standing here wants to follow through. So I think, like this, a little respect for us doing our best all the time and stop asking such questions, answered a clearly irritated Linn on live television.

Now criticism is being directed at Svahn for his harsh actions towards the Swedish journalist. Seasoned writer Johan Croneman puts his foot down against the behavior of the Swedish skiing star.
“Linn Svahn likes to be something of a big-shot, it’s not the first time she’s lectured a reporter, and of course you have to understand that big stars sometimes react with resignation to the recent coverage and the sometimes routine questions – but now After all, Linn Svahn is neither one of the biggest stars nor one of the most heavily guarded, so maybe a little humility wouldn’t hurt,” he writes in a column on Dagens Nyheter.

Council to Linn

Croneman does not think that the question was particularly “stupid” at all and believes that even TV reporters deserve to be respected.
“Yes, journalists sometimes ask stupid questions, I myself have sinned over the years – but as a reporter, as you know, you don’t ask questions for purely private reasons. You are broadcast, you represent your newspaper, your TV channel – and in nine cases out of ten you try to act as an interpreter for your readers and viewers,” he writes in his column.

The DN journalist now has sensible advice for Linn after her angry outburst in the television broadcast.
“Linn Svahn probably has to admit that those who watch her at home on the couches sometimes have some questions that she, as an elite athlete, considers simple or silly. It is not only thanks to her own hard work that she got the chance to stand there in the blue and yellow national team uniform, the Swedish sports movement has also contributed strongly to her being able to invest, represent Sweden and perhaps also live on her sportsmanship,” writes Johan Croneman in his criticism.
